Weekend Ready: UHF, LED and Power for Your 300 Series

This installation completed on this 300 Series Landcruiser combined practical communication and power solutions for touring and camping needs.

We started with a GME XRS two-way radio installation, featuring an RJ45 pass-through socket. This setup allows you to remove the handpiece when you're not using it, keeping your cabin tidy and your equipment secure. When you need to communicate, simply plug the handset back in and you're ready to go.

For better visibility of the towed load area, we fitted a tailgate LED light. It means better lighting when you're loading or unloading at night, or setting up camp after dark.

To support the caravan power needs, we installed a rear Anderson plug. This power plug charges the caravan batteries directly from  the vehicle's electrical system while driving or when parked up.

The 4WD accessories we wired as part of this installation included:

• a GME XRS radio with removable handset capability.
• a tailgate LED light for night access.
• a rear Anderson plug for caravan charging.
